1. Who we are
HoldForMe ("HoldForMe," "we," "us") operates holdforme.com and the HoldForMe service. HoldForMe's assistant, Reevo, phones businesses on your behalf, navigates their phone menus, waits on hold so you don't have to, and connects you when a real person answers. We are a company based in the United States. This website is a static site served by our cloud infrastructure provider; the product itself runs at api.holdforme.com on our cloud infrastructure provider.
2. What this statement covers
This statement covers personal information we handle when you visit this website, join our waitlist, or use the HoldForMe service. It does not cover the privacy practices of the businesses Reevo calls on your behalf, or of any third-party sites we link to — those organizations have their own privacy policies.
3. Information we collect
We keep this deliberately narrow. What we collect depends on how you interact with us:
- Waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you voluntarily submit — nothing else.
- Account information. When you sign up for the service, we collect your email address and name, either through an email sign-in link or through a supported third-party sign-in provider. If you use a third-party sign-in, we receive only your basic profile (name, email address) from that provider.
- Hold details. To place a hold for you, we collect the phone numbers you provide (the business's number and your callback number) and metadata about the call: the number dialed, the menu path Reevo navigated, timestamps, queue events, and the outcome of the hold.
- Call recordings and transcripts. Where the call flow discloses that the call is recorded, we collect recordings and transcripts of those calls. See Section 6.
- Server logs. Like nearly every online service, our servers automatically log standard technical information — IP address and user agent — which we use for security and operations.
We do not collect analytics identifiers, build advertising profiles, or track you across other websites.
4. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Operate, maintain, and secure the website and the service;
- Place and manage holds on your behalf — which is the point of the product;
- Notify you by email or SMS, for example when a person picks up and it's time to connect you;
- Improve the reliability and quality of the service, such as diagnosing why a hold failed or why a phone menu was misread;
- Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it. Ever.
5. Cookies and local storage
We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies on this site. The only items set are strictly necessary: security cookies set by our hosting and security provider, and a small localStorage entry that remembers your own preference choices. If that ever changes, we will update this statement and the site's consent banner before any new cookies are set.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| __cf_bm | Our infrastructure provider | Distinguishes humans from bots as part of our infrastructure provider's bot management; helps protect the site from malicious traffic. | Strictly necessary (cookie) |
| cf_clearance | Our infrastructure provider | Records that you passed a security challenge so you aren't repeatedly re-challenged. | Strictly necessary (cookie) |
| hf-consent | HoldForMe | Stores your cookie choices on your own device. | Strictly necessary (localStorage) |
6. Call recording and transcripts
Transparency matters on the phone, too. During calls, Reevo announces itself as an automated assistant on a recorded line. Recordings and transcripts are collected where the call flow discloses recording, and they exist so you can review what happened on your hold and so we can improve call quality. Recordings are retained according to your user and plan settings (see Section 10).
7. Service providers
We use a small set of service providers (processors) to run HoldForMe. Each processes personal information only on our instructions, under agreements that require them to protect it:
- Cloud infrastructure providers — hosting, content delivery, security, and storage;
- Telecommunications carriers — placing calls and sending SMS;
- Speech-processing providers — converting speech to text and text to speech;
- AI inference providers — powering Reevo's in-call reasoning;
- Identity providers — only if you choose to sign in with a third-party account;
- Email delivery providers — transactional email such as sign-in links.
A current list of our subprocessors is available on request at hi@holdforme.com.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of HoldForMe, our users, or others.
8. No sale or sharing; Global Privacy Control
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under US state privacy laws. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals: since we don't sell or share personal information in the first place, a GPC signal from your browser is already respected by default.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Some state laws require us to offer a way to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. HoldForMe does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. If you have questions or want confirmation in writing, email us at hi@holdforme.com.
9. Your privacy rights
If you're in the EU or UK
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the right to access your personal data, have it rectified, have it erased, restrict its processing, receive it in a portable format, and object to certain processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
If you're in a US state with a privacy law
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know and access the personal information we hold about you, delete it, correct it, and opt out of its sale or sharing (which, again, we don't do). We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any right, email hi@holdforme.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. How long we keep data
- Waitlist emails are kept until launch or until you ask us to delete yours, whichever comes first.
- Account and call data are kept for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then deleted or de-identified.
- Call recordings are retained according to your user and plan settings.
Specific retention periods are available on request at hi@holdforme.com.
11. International transfers
HoldForMe is operated from the United States, and personal information is processed there. If you access the service from outside the US — including the EU or UK — your information will be transferred to and processed in the US. We put safeguards in place through our agreements with the service providers listed above.
12. Children's privacy
HoldForMe is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at hi@holdforme.com and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this statement
If we make material changes to this statement, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date. For significant changes to how we handle personal information, we'll take reasonable steps to notify you — for example by email if you have an account.
